Recommendations for the use of liquid peat potassium humate for melons and flower-decorative crops

Potassium humate stimulates the development of the root system, increases germination, shortens the phenological phases, fruit ripening. For pre-sowing treatment of melon seeds, it is recommended to use a working solution of potassium humate with a concentration of 0.008% -0.01%. The duration of seed soaking is 18-20 hours. To prepare the working solution, 10 g of potassium humate concentrate is diluted in 10 liters of water. Spraying with a working solution of potassium humate during the growing season should be carried out in the phase of whip formation and again - after 15-20 days.

The working solution of potassium humate can be used when growing seedlings planted in the soil, soaking cuttings, watering lawns and ornamental crops. This contributes to earlier germination of seedlings, better survival, abundant flowering of flower crops, an increase in the number of peduncles and the diameter of flowers. For soaking cuttings of flower and decorative crops, it is recommended to use a working solution of potassium humate with a concentration of 0.01-0.008%. Duration of exposure - 10-48 hours depending on the type and age of crops.

For one-year flower crops, it is advisable to carry out processing during the growing season twice: in the budding phase and in the flowering phase. For many summer flower crops, the following treatments are provided: early spring spraying of overwintering perennial plants with a 0.002-0.005% working solution of potassium humate; during the period of intensive plant growth approximately three weeks after the first; during budding; if necessary during the flowering period. It is advisable to carry out autumn feeding of all perennials with a working solution of potassium humate in order to increase the frost resistance of the plant.

The use of a 0.005% solution of potassium humate on large-flowered chrysanthemums led to the fact that the development of plants accelerated by three weeks, the root system developed better, even in comparison with plants on which special growth stimulants - heteroauxin were used.
